
Just in case you don’t hear it enough, drinking lots of water is good for your health. A seven-year study of more than 18,000 adults published in
2016 yielded some pretty convincing results. Participants who drank the most water each day consumed the least calories and saturated fats,
demonstrating the link between water intake and weight control.
Furthermore, these water drinkers consumed less sugar, salt and cholesterol, also indicative of better health. The study found that increasing plain
water consumption by one to three cups a day tended to reduce the amount of calories consumed by 68 to 205 a day.1
